The Indiana women's soccer team was awarded its seventh all-time Herbert Cup, the program announced Wednesday evening, for posting the highest team-combined grade point average (3.659) amongst Indiana's 24-sport athletic department during the 2023 spring semester.

Over half of the team's 31-player roster had 3.5 GPAs or above in the spring, per Wednesday’s release. Last November, six were named to the Collegiate Sport Communicators Academic All-District First Team – setting the new program record. In December, 14 women’s soccer players were named Academic All-Big Ten and six were named Big Ten Distinguished Scholars in June.

The team's first exhibition match for the upcoming 2023 season is August 6 in Bloomington.
