Indiana football senior long snapper Sean Wracher was named to the Mannelly Award Watch List Monday afternoon, per a release from IU Athletics. The award, named after former NFL long snapper Patrick Mannelly, honors the nation’s most outstanding collegiate long snapper.

Wracher, who arrived in Bloomington in 2019 as a five-star prospect according to Kohl’s Kicking, has been a consistent presence for the Hoosiers. Since his freshman season, Wracher has operated as the team’s long snapper in all 45 games.

The Akron, Ohio native picked up Phil Steele Third-Team All-Big Ten recognition in his first three seasons and earned Fourth-Team All-Big Ten honors from Steele after last season. Wracher is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten recipient and was a semifinalist for the Mannelly Award in 2022.

The Mannelly Award watch list includes 25 players for the preseason and will be narrowed down to ten semifinalists on November 14, then three finalists on November 28. The winner is slated to be selected on December 10.
