Toppers Pizza opening Bloomington location

Bloomington residents will have a new pizza option once Toppers Pizza opens April 14 at 212 S. Indiana Ave., across from the Maurer School of Law.  

The company uses real Wisconsin cheese on their pizzas, according to their website. The different types of pizza Toppers offer range from pepperoni to mac ‘n cheese pizza to the Walking Taco Topper pizza.  

The company was founded in 1991 and has locations in 12 states, including Indiana. This is the second location to open in Indiana. An Indianapolis location opened in 2012, according to the press release.

Founder and CEO Scott Gittrich said in the release that he is excited about opening a location in Bloomington. 

“We’re on a mission to redefine what customers should expect from a pizza chain, and we can’t wait to offer customers in Bloomington bold, innovative menu options they can’t find anywhere else, along with a fun, never-settle attitude that is certain to have them coming back,” Gittrich said in the release. 

The restaurant will be offering a buy-one, get-one-free pizza deal from April 14-23 to celebrate the grand opening, according to the release.
