Indiana men’s basketball senior forward Trayce Jackson-Davis was named a Naismith Defensive Player of the Year semifinalist, to the USBWA Oscar Robertson Trophy Late Season Watch List and was selected to the John R. Wooden National Ballot, the publications announced this week.

Jackson-Davis is averaging 20.3 points, 11.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.8 blocks per game this season — all career highs. The senior captain recently became the Hoosiers’ all-time leading rebounder, already solidifying himself as the program’s blocks leader earlier in the season.

Jackson-Davis joins Northwestern senior guard Chase Audige, Purdue junior center Zach Edey and Rutgers fifth-year guard Caleb McConnell as the Big Ten’s representatives for defensive player of the year semifinalists.

Among the Oscar Robertson late season nominees, Jackson-Davis is again one of four Big Ten players to make the list. Edey, Penn State senior guard Jalen Pickett and Iowa junior forward Kris Murray are Jackson-Davis' conference competition for the award from the now-15-person watch list.

Jackson-Davis, Edey, Murray and Pickett were also included on the national ballot for the Wooden Award.

The Naismith Player of the Year award winners and Oscar Robertson Trophy recipient will be announced in early April during the weekend of the Final Four. The men’s Wooden Award recipient will be announced April 7.
