Indiana women’s basketball head coach Teri Moren was named an assistant coach for the 2023 USA Basketball Women’s U19 World Cup Team on Tuesday afternoon, according to an IU Athletics release. The team will compete at the 2023 FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup in Madrid, Spain, July 15-23.
Moren will work alongside Texas Agriculture & Medicinal University women’s basketball head coach Joni Taylor, retaining the same position, and Old Dominion University women’s basketball head coach DeLisha Milton-Jones, working as an assistant. Moren served as an assistant for the gold medal-winning 2022 Women’s U18 National Team at the FIBA Women’s Americas Championship with the same staff.
Moren is coming off her most successful season at Indiana, reaching a program record 28 wins, claiming a regular season Big Ten championship for the first time in 40 years and earning 2023 Big Ten Coach of the Year.
