Freshman guard Jalen Hood-Schifino looks to pass the ball March 11, 2023, at the United Center in Chicago. Indiana will be a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Indiana men’s basketball was selected as a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament during Sunday’s NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Selection Show.

Indiana will face No. 13-seeded Kent State University in the first round of the Midwest Region, with its regional matchup being played at 9:55 p.m. on Friday in Albany, New York.

Kent State finished the season with a 28-6 record as the Mid-American Conference Tournament champions, including a 5-point loss to the University of Houston, the No. 1-seeded team in the Midwest Region.

If Indiana were to win its first round matchup, it would face the winner of No. 5-seed University of Miami and No. 12-seed Drake University.
