After another week of wins, Indiana men’s basketball picked more weekly player awards as freshman guard Jalen Hood-Schifino and senior forward Trayce Jackson-Davis were each honored for the second time this year.

Jackson-Davis was named Co-Big Ten Player of the Week, his second consecutive weekly award, after averaging 22 points, 16 rebounds, four blocks and four assists in two games against Minnesota and Ohio State.

Jackson-Davis had 25 points and 21 rebounds against Minnesota, the first 20-20 game for a Hoosier since D.J. White on Jan. 8, 2008, according to IU Athletics. Jackson-Davis also broke Indiana’s program record for career blocks with his first of six.

Purdue junior forward Zach Edey, who will come to Assembly Hall with the No. 1-ranked Boilermakers on Saturday, was the other Big Ten Player of the Week.

Hood-Schifino was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week, his second award following his nomination on Jan. 9. He averaged 15 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Against Ohio State, Hood-Schifino made a career-high six 3-pointers in a 24-point outing.
