The City of Bloomington Department of Housing and Neighborhood Development and the Housing and Eviction Prevention Project will host a Tenant Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m on May 21, according to a press release. The fair will be held in room 115 of the City Hall Council Chambers.

The event will include representatives from IU, government agencies and community organizations to answer questions and provide information about tenant resources.

Other topics will include emergency rental and utility assistance, down payment assistance, fair housing law and tenant rights and responsibilities.

Organizations attending the fair include the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, Bloomington Housing Authority, South Central Community Action Program, Community Justice and Mediation Center, Indiana University Student Legal Services, and the Monroe County Apartment Association.

Bloomington Township Trustee Kim Alexander, Perry Township Trustee Susie Day, State Senator Shelli Yoder and sustainable communities consultant Deborah Myerson will also be at the event.
