Linebacker Micah McFadden was selected as the 146th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the New York Giants on Saturday.

McFadden was Indiana’s lowest-rated recruit in the 2018 class according to 247Sports, a class that included defensive back Jamar Johnson and quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Since then, he’s been named first and second-team All-Big Ten and won Indiana’s Anthony Thompson Most Valuable Player award in 2021.

McFadden led the Hoosiers in tackles in 2019, 2020 and 2021, finishing sixth in program history in tackles for loss with 37.
