North Eagleson Avenue is seen Nov. 4, 2021.

The philanthropy round of spring 2022 sorority recruitment will be held online, according to an email from the IU Panhellenic Association’s vice president of recruitment.

The email, sent Thursday, explained an increase in COVID-19 positivity rates influenced their decision to move to a Zoom-based format.

PHA aims to hold future recruitment rounds, including sisterhood and preference rounds, in person, according to the email.

PHA still plans to hold outside campus tours in person Jan. 7 with Rho Gammas, who assist potential new members through recruitment.

PHA is encouraging potential new members to get tested upon returning to campus, according to the email.

“We strongly encourage PNMs to take proper precautions pertaining to COVID-19, which includes being fully vaccinated, getting a booster shot, and masking up,” PHA’s Vice President of Recruitment Kate Buuck, said in the email.
