Editor’s Note: This story includes mention of sexual violence.

A sexual assault reportedly occurred Aug. 22 at Eigenmann Hall, according to the IU Police Department’s daily crime log.

IU’s Title IX office forwarded IUPD the report Monday, according to an IUPD press release.

A female student told the Title IX office she observed a woman sexually assaulting another woman, according to the release. The student said she did not think consent could have been given because both females were intoxicated.

IUPD does not know whether the victim will report the incident to the department. The department does not currently have any suspects and the case is inactive, according to the release.

Four sexual assaults and one sexual battery have been reported on campus in November, according to the log.
