Indiana women’s cross country drops to No. 18, men stay at No. 22 in coaches’ poll

Indiana women’s cross country team fell two spots from No. 16 to No. 18 Tuesday while the men’s team remained at No. 22 in the USTFCCCA National Coaches’ Poll.

Neither team moved in the Great Lakes Region poll with the women’s team at No. 3 and the men’s team at No. 5.

The rankings are the first since the preseason rankings. Since those rankings, the Indiana cross country teams competed against Miami University in the Indiana Open on Sept. 4. The women’s team won with a low score of 18 to beat the score of 38 by Miami. The men’s team scored 31 and was defeated by Miami’s low score of 27.

The Hoosiers’ next competition is at the John McNichols Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 18. The meet will take place in Terre Haute, Indiana.
