IU men’s basketball will play Eastern Michigan University on Nov. 9 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, which completes the Hoosiers’ 31-game regular-season schedule.

Eastern Michigan is a member of the Mid-American Conference and ended the 2020-21 season with a 6-12 record.

IU last saw Eastern Michigan on Nov. 24, 2017, and finished on top with an 87-67 victory. The Hoosiers have an all-time 4-0 record against the Eagles.

Stan Heath, the Eagles' head coach and former coach at Kent State University, the University of Arkansas and the University of South Florida, was hired in April after the program fired Rob Murphy. Heath faced IU in the 2002 Elite Eight as head coach at Kent State.

The Hoosiers will compete in 11 non-conference games this season, with nine games in Bloomington. This includes St. John’s University on Nov. 17 and University of North Carolina Asheville on Dec. 29.

IU will travel to Syracuse, New York, to play Syracuse University in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The team will also play Notre Dame at the Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis.

The Hoosiers will then play in 20 conference games, although the Big Ten has not yet released the conference schedule.
