Junior running back Stevie Scott III will forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft, he announced on social media Friday.

In 2020, Scott led the Hoosiers with 561 rushing yards and scored 10 of the team's 12 rushing touchdowns.

Scott will leave IU fourth all-time in rushing touchdowns, fifth in total touchdowns and ninth in rushing yards.

He became IU’s second junior to enter the draft, joining safety Jamar Johnson.

This season was a down year for Scott and the running game, with Scott averaging just 3.6 yards per attempt. Most of the offensive line is returning, and the Hoosiers should be able to find production without Scott. Sophomore Sampson James can fill Scott's role and freshman Tim Baldwin Jr. impressed in limited carries this season, recording IU's only 100-yard performance this season.

Scott was named second-team All-Big Ten the last two seasons.
