The Big Ten announced IU sophomore kicker Charles Campbell was named the Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday.
In a 37-21 road victory against Rutgers on Saturday, Campbell made a career-best three field goals. He converted on attempts of 42, 28 and 31 yards. He also made four extra-point attempts.
Whether it was kicking field goals or scoring touchdowns, IU scored on all six of its attempts inside the red zone. The team is now 2-0 to start Big Ten conference play for the first time since 1991.
Campbell is a perfect 5-5 on the season kicking field goals and 6-6 on extra points. He has scored 21 points for IU in two games with a season-long of 48 yards.
