IU football junior running back Stevie Scott was listed Wednesday on the Doak Walker Award preseason watchlist. The award is presented to the country's top college running back.

This year marks the second consecutive season that Scott has been heralded as a preseason candidate.

Entering this season, Scott is tied for eighth in program history with 20 touchdowns on the ground. He needs only 18 more rushing yards to become the 14th Hoosier to eclipse the 2,000 yard mark.

Last year, Scott was tabbed on the All-Big Ten second team after finishing fourth in the conference in rushing yards per game. He also ranked fifth in carries with 178 and tied for fifth in rushing touchdowns with 10.

The award will be announced Dec. 10 on the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show.
