IU men's track and field added Central Michigan University senior transfer Logan Targgart to the roster, the program announced last week.
Targgart competes in the weight throw, hammer throw, discus and shot put events.
In the indoor track and field season last year, Targgart was selected as an All-American by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Last February, Targgart’s weight throw of 21.92 meters earned first place at the MAC Championships and set a program record. He qualified for the NCAA championships in the weight throw, but the event was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Between indoor and outdoor track, Targgart spent seven seasons at Central Michigan. Last spring, he redshirted for the outdoor season.
Targgart was named to the All-MAC Academic Team all seven seasons. He also collected MAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete honors four times.
