IUPD Capt. Craig Munroe said the pedestrian is an 18-year-old female IU student.
The bus driver did not see the student due to the snow storm and struck her on the left side, police said.
She did not go unconscious and was taken to the hosptial to be treated for bruises.
A pedestrian was hit Monday night by a 1 N route Bloomington Transit bus while crossing at the corner of Kirkwood and Indiana avenues, according to IU Police Department Officer Conner Wagner.
Paramedics arrived, and the pedestrian was put in an ambulance around 7:20 p.m. Monday.
Police said the pedestrian was in stable condition and responsive.
