Man arrested on vandalism, resisting law enforcement and trespassing charges

A 29-year-old man allegedly threw furniture and screamed obscenities Friday at the Sigma Chi house.

Michael White, 29, was arrested for trespassing, resisting law enforcement and vandalism at 1:12 p.m. Friday, IUPD Capt. Craig Munroe said. White is not an IU student.

IUPD received a call from someone inside the Sigma Chi house, located at 601 E. Seventh St. The caller said White came to the house, screamed obscenities and threw furniture around the courtyard, breaking a chair.

White was located several blocks south on Indiana Avenue, Munroe said.

Munroe said IUPD is still investigating.
