A Bird electric scooter was used to vandalize a parked car Thursday night or early Friday morning on Washington Street.

Bloomington Police Department responded to a vandalism call at approximately 8:50 a.m. Friday.

Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Dana Cole said the owner told police he or she walked outside that morning to find a Bird scooter laying on the hood of his or her car, along with scratch marks and several cracks in the windshield.

Cole said the vehicle damaged is a 2017 Black Audi.

Cole said the owner of the vehicle told police they parked it a little after midnight early Friday morning.

The owner estimated the damage to be $500.
