Two Vectren vehicles were stolen and crashed early Friday morning.
A Vectren employee called Bloomington Police Department around 8 a.m. to report the incident.
Lt. John Kovach said the employee reported walking away from the vehicle at Vectren Operating Center at 205 S. Madison Street while it was warming up. Less than 10 minutes later, another employee arrived to Vectren and noticed the crashed vehicles.
Security cameras show a man walking through an open fence and getting into one of the vehicles, Kovach said. He drove the vehicle into a tree near Bicycle Apartments on South Madison Street.
The man then walked back into the lot, got into another vehicle and drove it into a fence before leaving the scene.
BPD is investigating the incident.
