Zietlow Justice Center

Trevor Lee Moore, arrested for committing and inciting vandalism in protest of President Donald Trump’s inauguration, appeared in court Monday to confirm his Nov. 16 bench trial date.

Moore, 25, is charged with seven misdemeanors including rioting, criminal mischief and resisting law enforcement.

Moore was spotted striking a vehicle with a stick and throwing a brick through the window of the Old National Bank at 300 E. Kirkwood Ave., police said in a previous Indiana Daily Student article. Other protestors filled coin slots with super glue, pelted buildings with paint-filled balloons, vandalized ATMS and dragged trash cans into the street.

After the presidential inauguration Jan. 21, 2017, Moore was part of a protest in Bloomington. They marched for about 35 minutes from Peoples Park to Sample Gates.

Moore was arrested around 9:20 p.m. after leading police on a short foot chase near Fourth and Dunn streets.

Two of Moore’s friends attended his pretrial hearing to show their support.
