AMC employee finds a loaded handgun magazine in movie theater

A staff worker at AMC Classic Bloomington 12 movie theater called police late Wednesday night after finding a handgun magazine in a theater.

The worker called Bloomington Police Department around 1:20 a.m. after finding the magazine. He told officers he found the magazine under a seat while cleaning out the theater after a movie.

Officers determined the magazine belonged to a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol, and it had nine hollow point rounds loaded, Sgt. Dana Cole said.

Officers were unable to locate who the magazine belonged to, but took it from the theater employee, Cole said.
