Man drives woman off road, displays handgun

Around noon Friday, a man driving a black Mercury Cougar reportedly drove a woman’s car off the road near North State Road 37 and the bypass and then held up a handgun and placed it on his dashboard.

The 52-year-old woman who made the report told police the man cut her off, forcing her to veer into construction barrels on the side of the road and damage her car.

Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Robert Skelton said the man did not technically threaten the woman with the gun by placing it on his dashboard, so this incident boils down to reckless driving.

No arrests have been made in relation to this case.
