A Bloomington man was booked into jail Sunday after being accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl sometime during the winter this year, according to police.
Leo Malone, 64, is accused of putting his hands down the girl’s pants and kissing and licking her lips at least once while she was in his apartment.
The child told her therapist about the incident, and the therapist contacted the Department of Child Services in July.
A warrant for Malone’s arrest was issued Friday based on the child’s allegations, and the arrest was made Sunday.
Malone told police he did not touch the child inappropriately. His preliminary charges include felony child molestation.
