The Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington, also known as AAGB, and the Thomas Gallery will be taking part in the opening of a new show, “Catchlight.”
The exhibit will take place at 5 p.m. on June 1 at the Thomas Gallery at 107 N College Ave.
“Catchlight” is a show by local photographer, Steven Cox, and the exhibit will feature a variety of landscape and portrait photography.
Cox discovered his passion for photography at age 14 when his sister gave him a manual camera, according to a Thomas Gallery press release. The show celebrates his approach to photography.
Cox catches light in the world around him in nature, portraits and cityscapes.
“I strive to catch the light of the moment, wherever it may lead,” Cox said in the press release. “Whether I pick up a camera to shoot nature, portraits or the life of a city, I always let the flow move me as I capture the lights and the shadows of what I see.”
