The 2017 fall IU softball schedule was released Thursday with eight games scheduled for the Hoosiers over the course of four game dates.
Each IU day will feature a doubleheader for new Coach Shonda Stanton's team.
Fall play begins for IU on Sept. 17 at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana. IU will play Miami (Ohio) and Evansville starting at 1 p.m. to begin the fall season.
IU's first fall home date is scheduled for Oct. 1, when they'll play a doubleheader against IU-Purdue University Indianapolis beginning at 1 p.m. at Andy Mohr Field.
IU will then travel to Indianapolis to play a pair of games on Oct. 7 at Butler University. Only one game will be against Butler, though, with the first game of the doubleheader to be played against Heartland Community College, which is based in Normal, Illinois.
The Hoosiers will close their fall season in Bloomington on Oct. 13 against Lakeland Community College, which is based in Lake County, Ohio. That doubleheader will begin at 4 p.m.
IU finished last season with a 23-31 record and a first-round exit in the Big Ten Tournament.
