IU women’s soccer announced four full-strength matches and a 7-on-7 tournament today as part of its 2017 spring schedule.
The Hoosiers will begin the spring season Feb. 26 with a 7-on-7 tournament at Illinois and conclude it with a match at Saint Louis University on April 22. In between, IU will play three matches at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
It will be the second consecutive season IU has participated in the tournament at Illinois.
IU’s slate of home matches will begin March 31 against Indiana State, which IU has a 4-0 all-time record against.
The final two home games will be played April 8 and 15, against Miami University and Illinois State, respectively. Illinois State is the only spring season opponent for IU that reached last season’s NCAA Tournament, but the Redbirds lost to Duke in the second round.
The three matches at Bill Armstrong Stadium are open to the public.
IU reached the Big Ten Tournament last season for the first time since 2013, compiling a 7-9-4 overall record while going 4-4-3 in conference play.
