The male victim, 20, reported being struck in the face multiple times by Farokhi. Farokhi then went outside and threatened to throw a cinder block through the victim’s car. He threw the cinder block at the front door of the residence and then through a back window.
The cinder block shattered the window and Farokhi picked up two broken pieces of glass and approached the victim in a threatening manner, Sgt. Crider said. The victim ran outside to avoid Farokhi, who chased him down an alley with a pole before eventually giving up.
The victim returned to his residence, where he saw Farokhi swiping two knives together. Farokhi told him he couldn’t return to the residence.
When police arrived at the scene, they observed lacerations on Farokhi’s hands, a rod in the living room with blood on it and a cinder block near broken glass. Farokhi denied having a cinder block and rod, Sgt. Crider said, but the victim recorded a video on his phone of Farokhi throwing the cinder block through the window.
The victim had a laceration on his lip and two small lacerations on his right arm, but he refused medical treatment. Farokhi was transported to the IU Health Bloomington Hospital, where he received treatment and was released. He was then transported to the Monroe County Jail.
