Junior running back Tevin Coleman will not participate in drills at this week’s NFL combine due to a nagging foot injury, according to a report from NFL Media senior analyst Gil Brandt.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound rusher decided to forego his senior season in Bloomington to enter the NFL draft in January. Last season, he rushed for 2,036 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Coleman is still expected to participate in IU’s pro day, which is to be held April 15. Former Hoosier and now Denver Bronco Cody Latimer did almost the same thing as Coleman last season. Latimer was limited in the NFL combine with a foot injury of his own but impressed scouts at IU’s pro day to be picked up by Denver in the second round.
Defensive tackle Bobby Richardson is still expected to participate in this year’s combine.
The 2015 NFL Draft will take place April 30 through May 2 at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University in Chicago.
