Theft reported at Cozy Table

A theft at Cozy Table restaurant was reported to Bloomington Police Tuesday. The suspect was a white male between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-9 who was wearing a ski mask and a black coat. He approached the front counter of the restaurant and demanded money while holding a small black gun, Sgt. John Kovach said.

After receiving the ?money, the suspect fled on foot from the restaurant. No one was injured in the incident and the gun was never fired, Kovach said. Four people were in the restaurant at the time of the incident. The case is still active and no arrests have been made.

The original vernacular BPD used was “burglary” and was changed today to “theft,” Sgt. Kovach said.
