Bloomington ISP dispatcher celebrates 35th year

Bloomington District regional dispatcher Tammy Brock is celebrating her 35th anniversary working for the Indiana State Police.

The Morgantown, Ind., native started working for the ISP as a crash records clerk after graduating from Brown County High School in 1979. She transferred to the crime information center at the headquarters in Indianapolis before coming to Bloomington in 1992, according to a release from the ISP.

Regional dispatchers work to communicate with troopers and answer ?emergency calls.

They also provide support to field personnel, the general public, local police agencies, emergency medical services, the National Weather Service and other governmental agencies, according to the release.
