Play-by-Play Account of Indiana-Purple Game This Afternoon Will Be Broadcast

Loyal followers of the Cream and Crimson and other football fans who can not be on the sidelines when Indiana and Northwestern clash in the Homecoming contest this afternoon will not be deprived of the thrill of attending the game.

The Indianapolis News will broadcast the contest with all its sidelights and color direct from the Stadium by remote control through WFBM, the Merchant’s Heat and Light company station of Indianapolis.

Announcing will be in charge of Blythe Q. Hendricks, director of publicity and advertising of the company. Hendricks has made a name for himself in athletic broadcasting and is known throughout the state for his graphic running accounts of the high school and college basket ball contests the last two years. Hendricks will be assisted by Bailey Fessler, chief announcer of WFBM.

The broadcasting booth will be in the press stand directly above the playing field. Listeners will have the thrill of hearing the bands, cheering and all the turmoil of the crowd, as well as an accurate play-by-play account of the gridiron “battle.”
