Hoosiers to face Buckeyes

The Hoosiers got the bagel they were looking for on Tuesday as they beat the No. 18 Louisville Cardinals 3-0 in Louisville at their new stadium.

That marks the second-straight victory over a top-20 team for the IU men’s soccer team, which is up to No. 10 in the country with a record of 7-1-3, 1-1-1 in the Big Ten.

On Sunday, the Hoosiers will travel to Columbus, Ohio where they will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes (4-4-3, 2-1). The Buckeyes are coming off of a 1-0 loss on the road against Oakland University.

IU will look to keep up its scoring rampage, as the team has totaled 13 goals in its last five games.

IU’s leading scorers are sophomore midfielder Tanner Thompson and senior midfielder Jamie Vollmer, who each have three goals on the season.

Sophomore goalie Colin Webb has allowed just seven goals in the team’s 11 games, and has posted five shutouts.

Ohio State is led by senior midfielder Yianni Sarris, who has scored four goals this year.

Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
