Robbery attempted at Cresent Donut

The Cresent Donut shop on South Adams Street was the site of an attempted robbery Thursday morning, according to Bloomington police.

The victim said the subject came in to the shop and said he needed money at approximately 8:24 a.m. He then lifted his shirt to show part of a black handle, which the victim assumed to be a gun.

The victim then screamed at the subject to leave the store, and he fled on foot. He later got on a moped scooter and drove away.

The subject, a white male with a black hoodie and backpack, was located in the area by an officer. He was taken in to custody and transferred to the Bloomington police department on Third Street. The subject is a juvenile.
