Woman robbed at knifepoint

A 44-year-old woman reported a woman dressed in all black used a knife to rob her of cash.

The victim told police she first encountered the woman begging for money Saturday, Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Joe Crider said. The victim said she felt sorry for the woman and offered to give her transportation.

Once in the vehicle the woman displayed a knife and forced the victim to drive her to the IU Credit Union ATM, Crider said.

The victim told police the woman took her cash and told her to take her to a south side apartment complex.

Police are processing the vehicle for fingerprints and following up with video from the ATM.
