Gov. Mike Pence announced the organization of a Blue Ribbon Panel to guide transportation infrastructure in Indiana Thursday.
The panel will review projects related to water, air, road and rail transportation, according to a press release from the governor’s office.
“We know that our transportation infrastructure provides Indiana with a dynamic advantage over other states,” Pence said.
The panel will also monitor transportation innovation in Indiana, according to a release.
Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann and Cathy Langham, president of Langham Logistics, will be co-chairs on the panel, and other members will be named at a later date.
“With the expertise and recommendations of this Blue Ribbon Panel, Indiana will keep its finger on the pulse of infrastructure innovation and strive to provide businesses and Hoosiers with the most efficient transportation system available,” Pence said in the release.
