IUPD issues notification after robbery on campus

The IU Police Department issued an alert Saturday regarding an incident where a non-student reportedly awoke on a sidewalk in the area around Second Street and Jordan Avenue with blunt force injuries mostly to his head and face.

Twenty-three-year-old Blake Swick left Kilroy’s Dunnkirk and started walking around 1:30 a.m. before he was attacked.

He had been drinking heavily and has no memory of the event.
 
It was reported that the victim discovered his phone and wallet were missing and walked to Village Pantry at Third Street and Jordan Avenue for assistance after he awoke around 7 a.m. He was taken to the hospital.

The incident occurred sometime between 1:30 and 7:00 a.m., according to the alert.

The victim believes he was knocked unconscious during a robbery and was unable to provide police with any details, according to the alert.
