Mr. Gay Southern Cities crowns winner Saturday night

Saturday, May 18, Vincent Van Ryan was crowned Mr. Gay Southern Cities at Uncle Elizabeth’s nightclub and bar. Sebastian Taylor was honored as first alternate.

This preliminary contest for the state title of Mr. Gay Indiana has been held by Joshua Sutton for the past three years.

This statewide contest began in 1979 for biological self-identifying gay men as an outlet to bring talent and competition to the stage. The winner and first alternate will compete against others from around the state in September of this year.

Mr. Gay Indiana is owned and operated by Great Lakes Productions, whose sole mission is to raise money and awareness for HIV/AIDS in Indiana. The contestants must present their plans to impact the HIV/AIDS community as they reign not only locally, but hopefully statewide later this year.
