Man reportedly assaulted and robbed

Bloomington police responded around 4 p.m. yesterday to the 1800 block of North Walnut Street where a man was allegedly assaulted and robbed, BPD Sgt. Joe Crider said.

The 46-year-old male reported he made arrangement with a female escort from an online service. The escort arrived with a man. When the alleged victim opened the door, this male suspect reportedly assaulted him.

The alleged victim said the two reportedly took his wallet, with an undisclosed amount of cash, plus a key fob.

The case remains active and has been forwarded to detectives, who are following up with leads to the escort, Crider said.
