18-year-old assaulted in parking lot on Tuesday

Police received a call around 3 p.m. Tuesday when two African American females reportedly assaulted an 18-year-old female victim on the 2500 block of S. Rockport Rd.

The two suspects reportedly approached the victim in a parking lot and began accusing her of spreading rumors about them.
 
When the victim began walking back to her friend’s apartment, one of the suspects began to assault her, prompting the victim to pull out a chunk of the attacker’s hair.

At some point during the assault, one of the suspects pulled out money stashed in the victim’s bra. Both of the suspects fled with both the bra and the money.

The victim did not receive any medical attention, but there were reportedly red marks on her body.

No arrests were made and the case is still under investigation.
