Jake's Nightclub to close after Tuesday evening

After decades of serving Bloomington as a local concert venue, Jake’s Now! Nightclub announced Tuesday would be the bar’s final night.

Even though the Walnut Street club remodeled under new management in 2012, it was unable to stay in business.

Artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan, R.E.M., Conor Oberst, They Might Be Giants and Buddy Guy graced the concert stage during the venue’s tenure.

Fans flocked to the bar Tuesday night to bid the longtime watering hole goodbye.
