Congressman Todd Young to meet with Bloomington public

Representative Todd Young announced Thursday that he will visit Bloomington next Thursday. During his visit, he will have two public meetings.

The first is a “Meet Your Congressman” event at the Pourhouse Cafe on Kirkwood Avenue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The public is invited to attend. Constituents can discuss any issue they choose with Young.

Later that day, Young will meet with constituents on an individual or small-group basis. These conferences will be at the 9th District Constituent Service Center from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Up to six constituents at a time may meet with the Congressman for 15 minutes each. Again, constituents will choose what issues they would like to discuss. This opportunity will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis to constituents who call the 9th District Constituent Service Center in Jeffersonville, Ind., at 812-288-3999.

Finally, Young will participate in an online chat on the Bloomington Herald Times’ website at 9:30 a.m. next Thursday.

The 9th District, Representative Young’s district, includes all or parts of Brown, Clark, Crawford, Floyd, Harrison, Jackson, Johnson, Lawrence, Monroe, Morgan, Orange, Scott and Washington Counties in southeastern Indiana.
