Members of the National Governors Association convened in Washington, D.C., late last week, meeting with President Barack Obama and cabinet members.
Today marks the final day of a three-day conference in which members, including Gov. Mike Pence, participated in sessions focused on state issues.
While attending the conference, Pence attended business sessions and a meeting with the NGA Economic Development and Commerce Committee.
“The NGA meeting is an opportunity to meet with our colleagues and discuss the many issues facing us as we govern states,” said NGA Chair and Delaware Gov. Jack Markell in a press release. “Governors care less about where an idea or policy starts and more about how it benefits our citizens.”
Gov. Pence is scheduled to make his return trip back to Indiana Monday evening.
