Bloomington Police Department officers were given little information about a verbal argument between two people that escalated into one of them drawing a gun in the 400 block of East 17th Street in early morning hours Sunday, BPD Sgt. Lucas Tate said.
The complainant, a 21-year-old male, and another male either party would not identify, were at a 20-year-old female acquaintance’s residence. The complainant alleged he and the unidentified male engaged in a verbal argument when the male pulled a handgun from the waistband of his jeans, Tate said.
After the weapon was drawn, no further words were exchanged, and the unidentified male tucked the gun back into his waistband and fled the scene on foot.
The female told police she did not witness the incident. Tate said the male, 21, and female would not provide additional details as to the premise of the argument.
The female described the unidentified male as approximately 6-foot 4-inches tall with short brown hair. She said he had a thin build and was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
