BPD breaks up bar altercation at Kilroy’s Sports

Bloomington Police Department officers responded to reports of a bar fight at Kilroy’s Sports Bar.

At about 3 a.m. Sunday at the bar, 319 N. Walnut St., officers were flagged down by bar employees and discovered a 24-year-old male bleeding from the nose, BPD Sgt. Lucas Tate said.

The victim reportedly told police the fight began between a group of people he did not know and a friend of his. He reportedly sustained the injury when he tried to break up the fight and requested an ambulance.

There had been multiple confrontations between the parties throughout the night, culminating with the incident to which the police responded, the victim said.

Officers reviewed surveillance footage, and most of the individuals involved have been identified, Tate said.

One individual was arrested for public intoxication.
