IU partners with South American schools

IU officials announced a partnership with Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, according to a press release issued Tuesday.

Potential collaborations and student exchanges are likely to result from the partnership, according to the release.

McRobbie, Vice President for International Affairs David Zaret and other members of the IU Delegation in Chile also met with officials at the University of Chile to explore collaborations in areas like business and international studies.

“Establishing relationships with Chile’s most prominent and respected academic institutions will enable Indiana University to generate new study abroad opportunities and significant research possibilities,” McRobbie said in the press release.

IU also established partnerships with Brazil’s University of São Paulo, State University of Campinas, Fundação Getulio Vargas and the Brazilian Academy of Letters, according to the press release.
