Monroe County Coroner Candidate
Hatfield, 72, is seeking his first term in office.
He has 47 years of experience as a mortician and formerly served as Chief Deputy Corner in Howard County and district director of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association. He has been a Monroe County resident for 31 years.
“As coroner, I will institute a system whereby the next of kin will have total access to the investigation as we gather information.
“I will respond immediately when called. First responders will not have to wait at the scene for me to show up. Autopsies will be conducted in Bloomington, not Terre Haute. We have qualified pathologist in Bloomington.”
