Monroe Circuit Court 9, Seat 8 Candidate (Incumbent)
Harper did her undergraduate degree at IU-PUI and later studied at the IU School of Law at Indianapolis and was admitted to the Indiana State Bar in 1982. She has previously served as the law clerk to the former chief justice of the Indiana Supreme Court and was once a state public defender and a director of training for the Indiana Public Defender Council.
“I brought my years of experience in the law, in training, and in fiscal management to the unified court when I was elected 6 years ago. I will use my prior experience practicing law to enhance the interpretation and application of the law to the cases before me in a fair manner. I will continue to use my prior experience in training to help guide defendants before me.

I also hope to see innovative projects throughout the civil and criminal courts continue to be developed and brought to our community to help our citizens.
