Student reports theft at house party

A male student reported being punched in the face and having his wallet and cell phone stolen at a house party near 17th and Grant streets at about 2:45 p.m. Saturday, IU Police Department Chief Keith Cash said.

The student had been drinking and had an unclear memory of the incident, Cash said. The student described the suspect as a 6-foot black male weighing between approximately 180 and 200 pounds.

Cash said the case is still under investigation, and they are attempting to gather information for a composite sketch of the suspect.
